Bond Brothers 5k-featuring bluegrass band, ShadowGrass-September 28th

The 3rd Annual, Bond Brothers 5k, is taking place on September 28th. Due to the tremendous success of the first two events, we wanted to partner with Bond Brothers and other sponsors of the run, to make this year’s event an even better experience.

We’ve secured the up and coming bluegrass foursome, ShadowGrass, to play two sets following the awards ceremony. Along with a race medal, bib, t-shirt and swag bag, you’ll be treated to a beer on the house, that you can enjoy while listening to these guys pick!

Cary City Meet-A Scorcher In and Out of the Pool for Area's Young Swimmers

At the end of the day, and with all scores tabulated, Cary Park came out on top as the meet’s 2019 champion. Receiving the MVP award for the meet, was Caroline Holliday of the Scottish Hills swim team. A special congratulations to one of Cary Swim Club’s swimmers, Kaylee Bohinc, for receiving the runner-up MVP award. Thanks again to all who came out and made it a wonderful event. Emergence Bioenergetics Finds New Home in Downtown Cary

Downtown Cary resident, Melissa Hall, spoke with The Pāpur about her business, Emergence Bioenergetics, and her new office location, just blocks away from home.

Melissa’s new office is located in the Heater Office Building on Dry Ave. Fortunately, she says, the right space opened at the right time, to move her practice from Downtown Apex to Downtown Cary.

A big advocate of living green, being outdoors, and eating locally grown produce, she loves being able to walk three blocks from her home, to the office.

Cary Imps Ride the Wellsley Wave to Victory

The Cary Imps travelled across town, to visit the Wellsley Wave, and walked away with an improved record of 2-2. Although it was blistering hot, this Fourth of July themed meet, didn’t disappoint. Of course, half the fun happens in the pool, and the other half happens on the sidelines. While it was a sea of blue and green in the pool, it was nothing but red, white, and blue everywhere else. Next week, the team stays on the road to face the Scottish Hills Sea Lions in a hyperlocal turf war, bound to be a battle to the end.
